In 1988, I started Jones from the conviction that Arnhem needed a place where fashion in all its facets could be expressed. Arnhem has long been a true fashion city, with the academy as an important breeding ground.
Over the years, we have grown alongside designers who, at that moment in time, made a difference and captured the spirit of the times. It was never just about individual pieces, but about creating an image — a distinct signature. I am grateful to everyone I have had the opportunity to work with over all these years.
Our dedicated and creative team has shaped Jones into what it is today. Within the Jones family, each person has contributed, from their own expertise, to what Jones stands for. I will carry this collaboration and all these encounters with me always.
And of course you; our customers. Over the past 38 years, multiple generations have found their way to Jones and stayed. At the same time, new people continue to discover the store every day, through Instagram or in person. A constant movement that I am truly proud of.
With great confidence, I hand over Jones to Gonneke Stroom. Gonneke grew up in Arnhem and, with her broad knowledge and background in fashion, and a genuine connection to the store, will continue to lead Jones together with the trusted team, with the same passion and dedication.
